January 27, 201214 yr At tesco and many other places I see that 700ml JW gold reserve cost 1399 While at the duty free airport JW gold was 1850 baht. Is there a major difference between Gold and gold reserve? I am guessing Gold reserve is inferior?
January 27, 201214 yr gold reserve is purely for the asian market and has no indication of age. gold is available in north america and europe and is labeled as 18 year old. both are based on the same single malt as core ingredient
January 27, 201214 yr "Is there a major difference between Gold and gold reserve?" Only in the price, both taste as crap as each other. However JW has sussed the Asian/Thai mentality, you dont drink the contents you HAVE TO BE SEEN to be drinking the label. Why do you think JW Green didnt catch on in Thailand, because in a night club the bottle looked the same as JW Black, which cost less than Green. Move on up to some single isle malts, or stick to Sang Som.
