Because everybody loves eating food and chiang mai has so much choice i see this as a positive thing as many of the new restaurants i have tried have been from tv some i have like and some not so keep the suggestions coming .

Would you rather have tons of posts from those of us who plan to move to CM instead? I don't think so

Actually, the most popular thread of all time would be from someone looking for a 6 month lease on a 5k per month condo near an excellent pizza place to rent while finalising his wedding arrangements to a bar girl and preparing to buy a plot of land and considering what kind of house to build.

Or any combination of the above.

Yeah.. I guess the only way it can really get worse if we also had topics about food topics.

Oh wait.

My theory is that these topics are only popular because we're not allowed to discuss the women. Wouldn't it be great to have whole, multi-page topics about Nuey from Carnival, or Jeab at Dragonfly.. That's the whole middle floor yanked out of the Maslow pyramid. So in the resulting rubble we find ourselves at ground-level: Food, health, shelter/housing.. Like dazed expatriate hunter-gatherers. We need to leave that middle floor in place, in order to ever advance to the two top levels; we simply can't get there without passing through level 3.
