I Met Ananda Everingham Last Night !

Featured Replies

After a film show, he walks into the hall for the Q&A session. Being the one seated right at the entrance, I try to snap a photo him. As soon as he see me with my camera, he "wai" directly at me. At that moment I have already clicked.

Is his "wai" a gesture of greeting or a signal for me to stop ?

Have I been rude to take his picture without prior permission ?

Gesture of greeting to everybody maybe not just you.

Aussie dad and him thinking you rude, nah doubt it.

Post the pic.

Why would anyone want a picture of Ananda Everingham?

Just got his shadow because he wai. Disappointed. Anyway, I don't know how to post photo here.

You can use it to replace your current avatarwai.gif .

Who the <deleted> is ananda everingham?

Who the <deleted> is ananda everingham?

He is the Thai Orlando Bloom :) Actually I have no idea but googled it & I guess he is a film star

He could well be the Thai Orlando Bloom, as neither of them can act.

In stark contrast to your closet full of oscars.

I read the name as Amanada and became excited. Now that I have looked him/her up, I am disappointed. Not much going on with him/her and it is an insult to Orlando to consider him/her in the same league.

So I need to have an Oscar to comment on an actor? In the same way that I'd need a Ballon D'Or to have an opinion on a footballer or a Michelin star to question the quality of food in a restaurant?

I think that the Ananda / Orlando comparison is fair as they're both average actors at best who've got where they are largely because of their looks.

I'm trying to think of a decent performace Orlando Bloom's given . . . . . . .

He is Legolas.

He brought the character to life. i don't think this ananda person could do the same..

Based on...what? Have you ever seen him perform?

Didn't think so.

Who the hell is Oriando Bloom, never mind this bloke looks like that famous footballer who married one of the twiggies.

Don't insult our Ananda by comparing him with who-is-this-Orlando.

Is Orlando the no. 1 popular actor is his home country ? Ananda is.

<deleted> is going on here??? I've never quite understood why some folk are so obsessed with 'famous' people. Why take a picture of a person because he has appeared on a television? What do people do with these pictures? Did this 'famous' chap wai because he was greeting a mainly Thai audience by any chance?

Whilst I'm having a rant about people photographing people/things. I was in a recently opened shopping mall on Sukhumvit 21 recently and witnessed hundreds of people (farang included) taking pictures of the shopping mallcrazy.gif

All I can say is famous people are so overrated. Especially in Thailand. Very sad indeed.

Don't simply comment or insult anyone if you don't know the person. Ananda appeared in the silver screen and he is an international movie actor, not local or the television.

I don't know about how famous people are accepted. I am not a Thai or from Thailand.

"International" may be a bit of an exaggeration.

Has he ever starred in a movie outside of Thailand?

Cant be bothered to look at IMDB? Its really quite easy to do and would answer your question immediately.

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0263594/

No, can't bothered. I'm not the one who made the assertion he was an "international movie star".

Well, I think he is hot... But that's just me. licklips.gif

I'm not really obsessed with famous people nor do I care to get their photograph...

Next time remind him he is in a public place and therefore he is fair game for all photographers and he can "wai" all he likes, well in oz, thats the privacy law. What the F--- does wai mean?????????
