You will have to provide a sponsor letter stating that you will take care of Him , saying you will provide some where for Them/him to live, and provide money and substance when required, She will have to prove her relationship history with her Thai boyfriend, And the biggest thing is reason to return to Thailand for him , he should provide job details and that he has a commitment to return to Thailand , that will be your biggest problem , reason to return.

Go on the UK Boarder Agency and look for Visit Visa, It will give you all the information you need,

Be prepared for a nightmare! I'm trying to get a UK Family Visa for my wife. We filled out the form, got all the supporting documents ready then went to the Embassy. We were told we MUST fill out an ONLINE APPLICATION and submit it. They gave us a sheet with all the web links and we came home and have been searching for hours for this hallowed online application form. It doesn't seem to exist! We keep being redirected to VFS (who you need to submit the forms to), but we tried telephoning VFS and they NEVER answer their phones. So we are completely stuck as to what to do! The links the British Embassy gave us contain only the pdf forms, the information contains absolutely no information about submitting the documents online. The cost for the Visa is as near as dam_n it 4000 THB. On top of that you need to pay VFS. I think the whole thing is set up to scam people out of money (I suppose this is the norm for UK & Thailand) and force you to use a Visa Agency (expect to pay between 10K and 20K THB for their 'service'). Ah well, what else do you expect from Rip Off Britain and Corruption Central Thailand - a mix made in hell!

I am sorry to say, but you are drawing the completely wrong conclusions based on your own lack of knowledge of the visa process. Read the UK Border Agency guidance and documentary requirements and then the very good information available on this forum. You pay 3800 Baht at the VFS for the visa when you submit the hard copy and your wife has her biometrics taken, any extras are for SMS response and courier service if required, you pay no more. The process is fairly straightforward, therefore there is no need to use a visa agent if you have a modicum of intelligence and relevant knowledge gleaned from the UKBA website and from this forum.

You are in the right place for good information but take a little time to do some research and then come back for help...you will get it.

I would agree that the process is not rocket science and it should not require an agent unless there are specific complicating circumstances. I would also agree that it is important to do some research first and this is absolutely the right place to do it. Check the pinned section at the top of the main visa and migration to other countries as a starting point!

There is a UK visa basics section. Use this and the UKBA site and then ask any questions you may have. We have all been through the process and come out the other end with a lot more knowledge!

If you want to see true rip off Britain look at the settlement visa prices!!
