There was an accident on the way to Nongkai Bridge on Monday, Full of passengers on the bus going for 60 days tourist visa, one of them was pregnant. It was even broadcast on Thai TV channel 7.

My question is: what kind of compensation can an injured passenger receive in Thailand like this case?

On the way to The Golden gate Bridge good compensation, Nongkai Bridge compensation i doubt it.

It's possibly a valid point, after all the insurance companies are not slow at taking hefty premiums. I would imagine that would be your best chance of compensation, suing the insurers of the vehicle as well as the operator. The operator could probably duck out of the way ( TiT ) but the insurers would be easier to pin down.

A mate of mine lost his leg in a crash a few years back while on a visa run from Phuket to Raynong. His medical was covered plus very little as I recall. What he did get he had to fight for. Sucked big time because he was a dive instructor.

i would think he could still dive, with or without a prosthetic.

There's something seriously wrong with people who are prepared to travel on a minibus in Thailand while pregnant. Alternatively, information regarding the risk involved is not communicated properly.

it will be more than likely the owners of the bus will claim compensation from the pasengers for the damage t.i.t.you know.
