aka_jack Posted February 10, 2012 Share Posted February 10, 2012 Hi there i currently work on the boats keeping me out of the country for 3 months or so at a timeand then 1 month off, my wife has passed her life in the uk test and i was wandering if my being absent so much of the year would affect there decision to give my wife citizenship?? Hawkinschris Posted February 10, 2012 Share Posted February 10, 2012 I am no expert, but as long as she has passed Life in The UK, has ILR and has been present in The UK for 3 years (give or take a few holidays) she should be good to go! You being out of the country should not have any effect on the situation! Like I said I am no expert, but this is how I understand it to be!
