barefoot1988
I just came across canned rice and bought them. This is the first time, suprisingly it doesnt taste processed as what i thought will be. Anyone else tried them out? Amazing

How much is a can? 12 baht for the plain white rice, size of a tuna can. 15 for fried brown rice, tuna can size. there is a bigger can version, think its 27 or so from tops
DP25
I'll have to try it. Sometimes I have some left over Thai food and just need a little rice and don't want to cook it
tutsiwarrior
if yer into small amounts of cooked rice then small 1ltr rice cookers have a purpose...unless of course there is no counter space in the kitchen with open boddles of Sang Som, boddles of coke...cockroaches and feral cats... JohnOX4
And now there is Roza Prompt - Steamed Jasmine Rice. 150g, in a microwaveable container. http://www.hiqfood.com/product_rice.htm
TheWalkingMan
And now there is Roza Prompt - Steamed Jasmine Rice. 150g, in a microwaveable container. http://www.hiqfood.c...roduct_rice.htm This type of product has been in Japan for years, and I presume Thailand also. In fact, I bought a 3 pack today for 80 baht at the discount shop here in Tokyo. Sizes are usually 180g, 200g and 250g and the normal price is from about 40 baht to 60 baht a container. These products are ok, but are not as tasty as home cooked. If you are at home and freshly cooked rice is not on hand, these products are suitable. Some Roza brand products are available here, I have a bottle of their Sweet Chili Sauce, purchased for about 40 baht. Not sure of the price in Thailand. Pseudolus
I bought this one a few months ago in Fresh Market Bangkapi Mall. To be fair I only took a picture of it to put on my FB for obvious reasons, but then bought it and found it to be basically not nice at all.
