OKF
Hi@all, as all of you have some sort of Visa and some experience in Samui, where things are sometimes handled in a different way, I would like to know whether anybody ever tried or asked an immigration officer whether he could extent a normal Non Im O - M Visa by 90 days so no Visa run is neccessary? In theory that should be possible. Apart from that there is the 365 day O-A Visa. Does anybody know what the healthcertificate needs to have included? Thanks OKF

lopburi3
There is no non immigrant O-A available. An extension for one year for retirement does not require medical or police check - only a non immigrant visa entry, being age over 50 and having the 800k in bank two months or 65k income letter from embassy or a combination of the two meeting 800k per year. Very simple process. A full list of extensions can be found in police order 777/2551 http://www.immigration.go.th/nov2004/doc/temporarystay/policy778-2551_en.pdf
