90 Day Reporting And Retirement Extension.

Featured Replies

My one year retirement extension is valid until 11th March. My 90 day report is due on 26th February, which is a Sunday.

I need to get a bank letter showing the amount in the bank for the new retirement extension.

I had intended going to the Pattaya (Jomtien) immigration office on 27th, Monday (I am away until this Friday, 24th) so will a bank letter dated Friday, 24th suffice or do I need one same day (or previous?) as my visit to Jomtien?

I assume going on 27th or even 28th will be no problem re: being late for 90 day report?

Also, may be a silly question but when I get to Jomtien, do I make a 90 day report, and then start the new retirement extension process there and then or does doing the new retirement extension take the place of the 90 day report?

Simon

Do both.

You'll be ok with reporting on the 27/28th.

Grace period for 90 days report is 7 days after, so upto 2nd of March (Friday) would be OK.

Applying for extension does not substitute the 90 day report, so as TerryLH writes, you HAVE TO do both separately.

I would go on Tuesday or Wednesday and get the bank letter the day before as not sure of what they allow and Monday is not a good day for avoiding crowds. As said you must do the 90 day report as well as the extension of stay. Only the first extension of stay counts as a 90 day report.
