kiske
Does anybody know where I can buy some uni-filter foam? My google-<deleted> has failed me. Somewhere in Chiang Mai would be an added bonus
JeffreyMcCollum
What kind of bike ? Do you want the filter or just the foam ? My Uni brand filter I had shipped form the states for my 250 ninja but I know they have some high performance filters in stock there
kiske
NSR - I just want the foam. Decided I'm going to be a good buy and actually start using an air filter hah. It's been running open carb for the last 4months... Going to have to pull it apart and clean the internals I can pick up a K&N here in CM, but I'd rather have a unifilter style pod. ozzydave
A couple of things to be aware of (based on experience) relating foam filters; a. use correct cleaning materials b. use the oil as directed (exactly) c. they are no good on anything with high vacuum (esseciallty turbo engines) d. the foam WILL decompose - replace when starts to crumble or goes hard e. ensure it seals properly (or the whole excresise is wasted) An inbox pod or panel filter will do just as good, and NOT be open to the elements (like water/rain). There is no measurable difference between foam pod to in box panel or pod filter for normal usage (on a small bike) Edited February 25, 2012 by ozzydave
