What Do I Need To Take?

Featured Replies

Hi, I need to activate the 2nd entry of my Tourist Visa. I'm going to go to Aranyaprathet/Poipet to do my border crossing. I was wondering what I need to take with me. Obviously money and my Passport but do I need to take any paper work or photo's? Is Thai baht ok or do I need to take US dollars for the cambodian side? Also is it really busy? Should I take a hat and a lot of water? Or can I buy water/food there? Sorry for these newbie questions, it's my first time going there and I'm doing it solo. These Q's have probably been posted somewhere before but I keep searching and can't seem to find anything. Thanks.

Passport and money. Thai baht is ok. Bring 2 photos just in case (they are small) and that it.

Yes of course you can buy water there.

If you like hats then bring one too.

You can extend your 60 days for 30 days at immigration in Thailand for 1900 baht, you don't have to do a border run at the end of 60 days!

Hey thanks for the replies, I've already got the 30 day extension but my visa expires before the date I have extended too (lucky I started doing my homework early or I wouldn't have known I have to re-enter Thailand before the visa expires haha).

1 last dumb thing are the photos pretty much the same size as the ones you use on the visa extension forms, I think they're like 4cmx5cm or something, I've got some spare so I might just take those.

Yep. Passport size photos.

Take care, I got Pick Pocketed at that border from a bunch of Cambodian children.

You need a photo for the Cambodian Visa and 20 Dollar in a nice not to old bank note. With Thai Bath the Visa is usualy more expensive. (1200 Baht?)
