Good Photo Places In Bangkok?

Featured Replies

It looks like I need 4x6 cm photos for tourist visas and 2" square photos for re-entry permits. Is that right?

Are there good chain places or any good locations for photos people know of in Bangkok? Near Asok BTS or in Silom would be great. Do mailbox plus sort of stores do these kind of photos?

Thanks for any info.

Never used a 4cm x 6cm photo in my life, standard passport size has always been accepted everywhere.

There are photoshops all over the place all pretty much the same, they'll do about a dozen for about 150 baht. Always handy to keep extra's.

As said, any photoshop will be fine. It is only for a re-entry permit.

For a passport you need to go to a shop that knows the requirements, for a re-entry permit or extension of stay not.

Immigration requirement on form is 4x6cm but when they tranlate for us non-metric types they say 2x2" to keep it simple. Anything near either dimention is normally accepted. The only caviet is that photo be less than six months old (and they do check they don't have same photo on file occassionaly).

Most of us can easily take/print with our home computer these days.

Ok thanks. I said 4x6 cm because that's what all the lists of requirements for getting a tourist visa say. So I can just ignore that?

I would not ignore that as it is the asked size - but a little larger seems to be OK and even if square is normally accepted.

At shopping malls there are photo booths, cheap and fast.
