Want to see what Vietnam is like. No specials by air right now, so thought we'd go by way of Phnom Penh, and get the Vietnam visa there, while seeing Angkor Wat.

Questions: what is the lastest fee -- legally -- for Cambodian visa at a land crossing? And, what are the lateset scams the immigration bums officials in Cambodia are trying out? Last time, they tried to get 1000 baht, when it should have been less than 700, and they tried a "bird flu" test fee on a buddy of mine.

Anyone crossed lately?

Ah, yes, anyone got a Vietnam visa in PP lately? How much?

Thanks.

Do the Cambodian visa only, easy. Vietnam, do before you go no prolems then. I don't think you can do Vietnam visa online unless you are arriving by air, check their website.

Angkor Wat is at Siem Reap, not Phnom Penh.

Air Asia flies Bangkok to Phnom Penh and from Kuala Lumpur to both Phnom Penh and Siem Reap.

You did not say where you are travelling from.

Why don't you check the website:

It is not difficult.

Dang, Ubon, you're right! It wasn't difficult!

If only the website was for visas at land crossings, as stated in my original post, and reminder post, instead of e-visas by internet, that would indeed have answered one of my questions.

I don't think, however, that an official Cambodian Government website is going to offer info on my other questions: what are the latest scams the guards are pulling and the best way to deal with it.

But, thanks for trying. Guess no one has crossed the border into Cambodia lately.
