Shots fired at Police as Drug Dealing suspects run from Pattaya Police checkpoint

PATTAYA:-- Two suspected drug dealers refused to stop at a Pattaya Police Checkpoint on Monday and shot at pursuing officers as they made their escape.

The Checkpoint set up in South Pattaya was concentrating on stopping and searching cars and trucks and noticed a Bronze Honda Civic which was attempting to turn around and avoid the checkpoint. Officers gave chase but were fired upon as the Honda Civic sped from the scene. Eventually the chase came to an end in Soi Kao Ta Lo in East Pattaya.

The driver and passenger in the car ran away and left a 13 year old girl and her friend in the back seat. The girl claimed to be the boyfriend of the car passenger, known as Mr. Jack, who is thought to have shot at Police. The car is owned by a man known as Mr. Lair who is well known to Police as a prolific drug dealer in the Pattaya area.
