Rimmer Posted March 2, 2012 Share Posted March 2, 2012 Fearing falling coconuts, Pattaya cuts back Jomtien trees PATTAYA:-- ourist fears of falling coconuts prompted Pattaya officials to give Jomtien beachfront trees a good trimming. Twenty workers from the city Public Works Department on Feb. 21 cut back branches and removed coconuts that tourists and beach vendors feared would fall on their heads. The palm fronds also had been blocking streetlights, giving more cover for criminals to operate after dark.
