Question About Situation Pre And Post Tsunami

I am doing a dissertation regarding the situation in Krabi, Phuket and Phang-nga before andd after the tsunami, hereunder how the marketing strategies to promote the destinations have changed. I would like to interview people who have visited the above mentioned destination. Below are the questions - if you have time to answer them your help is greatly appreciated. 1. Are you from Thailand, live permanently in Thailand or live permanently in another country?

2. Which destination have you visited – Krabi, Phuket and Phang-nga?

3. When did you visit the destination – before or after (both) the tsunami happened?

4. How do you describe the tourism situation in Phuket (Phang-nga and/or Krabi) provinces both before and after the Tsunami happened? If there are any differences please explain why?

5. What are the major reasons for choosing Phuket (Phang-nga and/or Krabi) after the Tsunami? Is it different from before? Why?

6. How do you describe the attractions that you found in the province (Phuket, Phang-nga and/or Krabi)? Are there any distinctive? Are there any other destinations that you might choose apart from this province? (Phuket, Phang-nga and Krabi) Where? Why?

7. How do you explain the image of the destination (Phuket, Phang-nga and/or Krabi) (compare with before and after the Tsunami)?

8. In what ways do you think Phuket (Phang-nga and/or Krabi) is better than other places to come to visit?

9. In what way do you think Phuket (Phang-nga and/or Krabi) is worse than other places?

10. What factors influence on your decision about choosing the destination (Phuket, Phang-nga and/or Krabi)? (Facilities, price, promotion, service, natural attractions, or safety etc.) Compare both before and after Tsunami.

11. How do you get information about the destination (Phuket, Phang-nga and/or Krabi)? Both before and after Tsunami? Are there any clear differences in the information you pre and post the Tsunami?

12. Does that information (question 8) affect your decision of coming to visit or not? How? Why is that?

13. What is the major influence on marketing decision about choosing your destination between lowest price and product differentiation?

14. Does the news and pictures from the tsunami push you off more than make you coming to visit the destination? (Phuket, Phang-nga and/or Krabi) Why?

15. From your point of view, has Thailand set up and applied the right strategies to deal with the situation?

16. From your point of view, are those strategies applied in the right direction? Why? Apart from those strategies, is there anything else that should be used or should not be used?

17. Do you have any further suggestions to the related sectors in order to handle the situation more effectively both in short and long term?
