Extend Or Not Extend

Featured Replies

I have a Non O Marriage issued in Hull valid until August 2012

With only 2 pages in my passport I need to apply for a new British passport. Once received where do I go to have the Non O status transferred? I am in BKK.

In addition to the above, I am going back to the UK in July so I plan to apply for a new Non O visa while I am there. However I like the idea of being able to extend the visa here to give me peace of mind.

I am unable to show 400,000 THB in my Thai bank book, however I am able to show monthly income into my thai bank of over 40,000 baht. This money comes from outside of thailand but not from my home country.

Can I show immigration my thai bank books to prove that each month I receive over 40,000 THB? Will this suffice?

No you will have to get a letter from your Embassy showing this income and they will require proof as it is the UK.

And you can not transfer a visa into a new passport - you will have to show both passports to use that visa.

The Embassy will require a minimum 3 months bank statements to support income, the income can come from anywhere, just show the credit "in " each month into your Thai account.

If you do decide to extend dont forget to get a re-entry permit at the same time or you will lose it if you leave the Kingdom. I recommend a multi re-entry permit and then you can come and go as you please.
