rudi49jr
Hi all, I'm Dutch, had a double entry tourist visa that is about to run out (two entries plus two extensions). If I go to Mae Sai, will I get a new 30-day visa? Because I've heard/read that sometimes you get only 15 or even just 7 days. Don't know if that is true, so I thought I'd make sure and ask the experts on this forum. Thanks!
stoneyboy
I believe it's 15 days for a land crossing and 30 by air. You are of course referring to a visa exemption and not a new visa also. Edited March 4, 2012 by stoneyboy
lopburi3
15 day visa exempt entry is all you will get.
cigar7
I had a Russian friend who went to Mae Sai in February 2012 and he got 30 days. I actually saw the stamp in his passport and I do not understand why he got 30 days. I agree with lopburi3 that it should only be 15 days for the OP. ALFREDO
He arrived with an Ultra light plane at the Thai Immigration? The Immigration officer was dizzy? not concentrated? thought he sits at an Airport? The Russian friend showed you a wrong stamp in his Passport, faked the stamp? But normaly, impossible. Russian, Laotian, Vietnamese, Mongolian and HKG Citizen get always 30days as they have Biletaral agreements with Thailand. South Korean, Chilean, Peru, Brazil and Argentine get 90days.
