there is parking at the border at Had Lek, but not sure I would leave my bike there a month

Suggest you stay at a hotel in Trat and ask them to let u keep it there, give them a 1,000 baht to keep an eye on it

MY other suggestion

TAKE it with YOU!!! Makes all the difference in the world. All u need is the bikes papers.

Thanks all.

I ended up leaving it at a friend of a friend's place in Trat.

I had thought about bringing it in, but after being here a few days already, I am glad I didn't. Too much hassle on the roads - much happier to putt putt around on a Wave.

Maybe next time...

I see no problems driving in Cambodia.

Rent at my first trip 6 years ago a 250cc Honda in the middle of Phnom Penh and drove with my new "GF"-Cambo-Vietnamese down, to Sihanoukville, Kep, Kampot and on and up to Bokor Hill.

4 Years back, I rent a 250 in Koh Kong and drove on a partly scenic road to SNV.

No proplems at all, a tire problem, was fast and cheap solved. jap.gif
