Police Clearance Certificate (Pcc)

Featured Replies

Hi Gang,

A bit about me, i worked in BKK for two years and left to Canada in 2011. I need to get a visa for New Zea land which need to have a PCC.

I need to know about the PCC procedure and how long will it take to get it. Should i need to visit Thai consulate for fingerprint?

How much does it cost? Is there any company available to get it done by a nominal service charges

Cheers

Asif

check out this link; if you are Canadian then it should be just the trick...

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/asia-pacific/thailand.asp

and contact the Royal Thai Special Police Branch...I had to do the same to get a residence permit in Vietnam...you can speak to them on the telephone, they are helpful...

If you are in Canada, as it might seem from your posting - rather unclear - all you need do is stop by the nearest RCMP detachment and they will be able to do the basic police check in about ten minutes, free.

However, if it's the check needed to work with children or the vulnerable, that takes longer.

I believe that the visa application that the OP is talkin' about requires a police clearance from the place that you most recently resided long term and in his case it was Thailand...in my case as I reside permanently in Thailand the VN immigration wanted to see a Thailand police clearance...I was in Hanoi at the time and was able to do everything by mail with one phone call to the Royal Thai Police Special branch number in the link above for payment details...
