Wanted: Queen Sized Bedframe

I am in need of a US/American/Canadian Queen sized bedframe. Since they don't sell this bed size here in Thailand haven't had much luck finding anything locally.

Anyone have ideas on how I can get this to work or anyone have one for sale?

Why don't you show someone the old one and ask them to make the same. Shouldn't be that hard to find someone to make it.

Thanks for the link but all beds from Thailand are completely different size then any other country. So no store in Thailand is going to carry my bedframe size. I like the idea of having someone build me something, thats probably the way I going to have to go as very few people bring their entire houses over as I did and fewer yet bring over then sell only their bedframes.

Ah well will see how much shipping is on it from home and compare with having someone local build me a nice base.

i know what u mean. Realised it after i bought a queen size here in thailand....or what i thought to be a queen size

I look at it and think: how am i gonna sleep in that tiny little thing? Its meant to be for 2 people? I can hardly fit me onto it!!!

I have a proper queen size but you have to pay to ship it over

firstly, congrats on breaking the bed, well done that man.

I had the same problem as you before. I got the builder to make a frame from concrete blocks to the size I wanted. obviously the space in the middle was the size of the mattress. Got him to tile all around and inside where the mattress sat and Hey presto ! instant bed. Get him to tile the head board and its done. sorry dont know how to put a photo on here.

Make your mind up where you want the bed to go and tell him to build you a bed. Wife loved it. A fraction of the cost also. Once you build the outside of the bed, just fill in with soil until its at the height you require. Then just a thin layer of concrete.

Just an observation....if a bed frame size matching your requirements isn't available in the local markets, doesn't that mean that you will also have problems to find a matching mattress and mattress covers, etc?? wouldn't be easier to go for something which is easily available instead?

I was thinking the same thing. Ikea sells bed frames in 160 x 200 cm sizes or 180 x 200 cm,
