First post on the forum... Here's my question: does anybody know where I can buy/find/get a big open lotus flower in Chiang Mai? Tried Flower Market near Warorot, and flower centre near Tesco but no luck, I can only find small ones, or closed ones that don't open but just turn brown after a few days... I need this for a photo shoot. Is there another flower market to try, or a lotus pond somewhere where I could just cut one? Thanks!

If you talk to the biggest lotus seller at Kamthieng (can't miss her, she is on the last soi in a corner space across from where the orchid sellers are), she will sell you a lotus that is about to flower or has bloomed. She speaks English and so does her little daughter who is there in the afternoons.

BTW lotus flowers open in the full sun during the day and close in the evening.
