I work in Afghanistan. It will be next to impossible for you to get a visa without an official invitation (a few of my Afghan friends have come here for official meetings at the UN offices they work for or USAID). The nearest embassy would be in Pakistan, as Lopburi said. G'luck.

Above LINK shows, that you can come to LAOS without a Visa and get there a Visa on Arrival for 30 days.

From there you could visit the Thai Consular section in Vientiane/Laos or Savanneketh/Laos and try to get a Visa. Not forget to have maybe to show some money for your stay on a Tourist Visa. At least 20.000 Bath in any currency, changeable to Baht.

Or try your luck in Pakistan, same -Lopburi3- advised.

Some nationalities MUST apply in their country of residence for a visa and cannot get a visa for Thailand elsewhere. Not 100% sure this also goes for Afghans, but they do undergo an extra strict screening procedure and it could take 3 weeks for them to get a visa. An invitiation is normally required.

I do not know that.

I know only that the Schengen Visa rules changed some years ago in that way.

2002, it was still possible,to get a Visa for Slovakia in Vienna for a Thai Passport holder and than in Bratislava a Schengen Visa at the Austrian Embassy,

but needed than 1 week time and not only 2 days.cowboy.gif

I would give them a call in the Thai Embassy in Pakistan Islamabad or in the Consular section in Krachi and ask details.

Consular section in Vientiane Laos is also a possibility to call at least.
