Selling Your Iphone 4 In Thailand!

Featured Replies

It has come to my attenton that it is very easy to sell your iphone or other fancy mobile device in thailand.

My guess that this is because of two reasons. 1) They are not manufactured in thailand. 2) The thais that you sell your iphone too can easily get a better price for it.

MY QUESTION is does anybody know what price thais get for selling iphone 4's? AND to whom do they sell it too??

Either way its going to be quite hard as a young farang to get a fair deal. my advise to anyone selling, if you have a local trusted thai friend, get them to help you do business.

Probably about a million shops selling phones. why did it come to your attention.

Not really, I've sold numerous 'old' phones to shops in MBK. Walk around to a few and you will get an idea of what price they are prepared to give you.

I don't know where some get this paranoid delusion that we are always going to get ripped off in Thailand just because we are foreign.

We only get ripped off if we allow ourselves to, the same rule applies to Thai’s.

It doesn’t matter where you are from, no shop is going to buy a phone from you if they think they wont make a profit on its resale. And, it doesn’t matter where you are from, the shop will attempt to maximize their profit as much as possible, its simple business and nothing more.

Negotiate a price we are happy with or walk away – it really is that simple !

If you have the packaging and all the original out the box accessories then you'll get a fair price whether thai or not. Note they know the hot ticket items as well or better than you do and certainly know the 2nd hand market better.

If you feel you're getting ripped off it probably means your phone depreciated more than you realised as regards resale.

Sent from Android please excuse errors in type or judgement

Are you trying to go to the head of the snake, and sell direct to make your profit?violin.gif

If possible, yes.
