Hello - 2 SCENARIOS - INTERNET TRAVEL BUSINESS

Scenario 1

I want to start an affiliate travel business about Thailand.

I will write about Thailand, recommend hotels, etc and be paid by an affiliate company OUTSIDE of Thailand into a non thai bank, my home country bank.

I will be based in Thailand 6/9 months of the year on a tourist visa...

Scenario 2

I decide instead I want to have a retirement visa, but work with the website, as above, is this allowed?

Legally if you are working in Thailand Thai law requires that you have a work permit, regardless of what kind of visa you have. However a retirement visa cannot obtain a work permit if you want to go legal.

Practically, online work is a gray area and you may or may not have issues.
