Visa Run Second Entry

Featured Replies

I've got a duble entry turist visa issued on 9 february 2012 I came to thailand on 5th of march I'm staying in Thailand right now for around a month. I would like to extend for another 60 days I don't have any expiration date it says only enter before 8 may 2012. does it mean I can't extend my visa for another 60 days if I will do visa run to cambodia on 5th of may 2012 ?

thank you for your answers

Bart

Surely if you entered Thailand on the 5th of March your current permission to stay stamp will cover you until 3rd of May.

You then have the option of doing a border crossing on the 3 rd of May to activate second entry giving you another 60 days plus the option of a further 30 day extension. The 8th of May stamp is the 3 month from issue date and the time in which the double entry visa remains valid.

so if I'm correct even though my visa is valid untill 8th of May I can get another 60 days. if I do visa run on 3rd of may it will allow me to stay untill 1st of July. Am I right?

If you do a visa run on the 3rd of May you will get 60 days permission to stay which can be extended at immigration for another 30 days - 1900 baht. So you effectively could stay until about 30 July.
