Hi,

I am a UK citizen resident in the UK.

Last year my Thai girlfriend applied for a general visitor visa to the UK (VAF1A).

She was refused on the grounds that they didn't believe we were in a relationship and in fact that they believed "we had never even met" even though we had gone to the visa application centre together.

This was also despite the fact that I had provided, proof of bank transfers to her, telephone call records, passport pages showing numerous trips to Thailand, flight documents within Thailand for both of us and boarding cards for those flights where we were in adjacent seats.

We applied again immediately and included extra photos of us together and a letter from a bar owner friend of mine and her ex-employer stating that we had known each other for about 7 years and been in a relationship for part of that time.

This second application was granted and my girlfriend came over to the UK for several months last year and returned within the 6 months allowed.

She is about to apply to come over to the UK again this year.

Is there any need to provide all the same proof of relationship and willingness to return at the end of the visit, for subsequent applications?

Indeed is there anything else we should also provide?

Is a second visitors visa easier to obtain than the first, given that she returned within the six month period of the first?

Thanks in advance
