I do believe that you have apartments in a condominium . . . and I always believed the following to be the case

Condominium - with amenities such as tennis courts, pool etc...

Apartment - no amenities

To put it in an even simpler way. A condo is a building built under the Condinium Act.

Each Unit is privately owned and has a chanote or to deed relating to it. Common property is managed by a Juristic person appointed by an elected commitee.

An apartment is a building which has multiple units but the whole building only has one chanote. Units may be rented but not sold.

I live in somebody else's house. Not sure where that puts me on your socio-economic ladder, but I like it. tongue.png

well ,you probably dont get too high up the socio-economic ladder if youre sponging off someone else ....but you like it so thats all that counts tongue.png

Actually, if I'm sponging off somebody else, I'm likely to be in a better position financially than if I paid for my own accommodation (all other things being equal), but I never said I was sponging, you did. I do have the advantage of not having to live next door to people I don't like though, which might be the case if I lived in a rich man's apartment or a poor man's condominium (or a poor man's apartment / rich man's condo).

Do they know?

Do they live there too?

That must be quite challenging...

One of my gf's mother's houses, and yes,she knows. I didn't want to call it my house because, well, it isn't.

Re. the OP. If the guy says the building is full then perhaps it is.

Or, they don't like him/her because of nationality.

Very easy to find out, I would think.
