PATTAYA:--A Chinese Tourist was injured following a bag snatch in South Pattaya on Thursday.

The incident took place at the front of Soi Day Night Hotel off the South Pattaya Road. Miss Hee Jai Ing aged 28 was riding as passenger on a rented motorbike when a Thai Man drove up beside her and snatched her shoulder bag which contained 5,170 Baht in cash, two mobile phones and a digital camera.

The suspect, later named as Khun Chatchai aged 31, sped off and left Miss Ing and her boyfriend Mr. Wong Ja Fong on the ground after he lost control of the rented motorbike. Mr. Fong sustained minor cuts and bruises and managed to summon the assistance of Police who eventually caught-up with the suspect on the Pratamnuk Hill. Khun Chatchai lost control of his motorbike during a chase and hit the pavement before coming off his bike.
