Last year I bought a triple entry visa from Hull, 98 quid if I remember correctly. I did one border run after the first 60 days and left to go back to the UK 6th March leaving me one 60 day stamp left. So if I go back to Thailand before November 28th ( the start date of the triple entry visa ) then that will be my third entry thus giving me 60 days. The question is if I fly out after the 60 days, say to visit a friend in NZ will I get 30 days Visa on arrival when I come back? Thanks for any info.

Check when the triple entry expires and you will most likely find it is 6 months after date of issue.

Might pay to get a visa while you are in NZ, Wellington are happy to process UK passports.

If the visa was issued in November it will expire in May,a single entry tourist visa from the UK has a 3 month from issue expiry date and a double and triple has a 6 month validity.

See this picture example below, this double entry tourist visa was issued on 14 July 2010,both entries therefore had to be utilised by 14 January 2011.

If you get another one, remember you dont have to do a border run after 60 days, you can extend by another 30 days at immigration within Thailand. You can do that with each entry.

The answer to your question is yes you would get the normal 30 days permission to stay if you fly in from NZ.

The triple entry visa is valid for 6 months, not 1 year so you must do your third entry before the " must enter before" date on the visa which should be in May. If you fly to NZ and return yo visa exempt entry which is valid for 30 days. You could purchase a reentry permit before you leave, 1000 baht, that would alow you to leave and return and keep your permission to stay which you could extend for 30 days at immigration, 1900 baht..

when you fly back to thailand from NZ will you have a flight out of thailand within that next 30 days ? because some airlines refuse you to check in unless you have a visa for thailand or a flight out .

maybe an idea to just get a double entry tourist visa from the u.k before you leave - sounds like your triple entry from last year will be expired so whilst getting a single that you need you may as well pay a little extra and get a double.
