Sriracha:--Police arrested a man suspected of stealing a bag from a 62 year old woman on Monday Night.

The bag snatch occurred in Sriracha District and the arrest of the suspect was made after he fled the scene following a chase and subsequent accident. The bag snatch took place in the Bang Pra area and led to injuries sustained by the victim, Khun Sudawan, who was walking along the street when the suspect, later named as Khun Saeksan aged 30, drove up beside her, snatched her bag and drove off.

A quick response by Police led to a chase which soon ended in a crash when Khun Saeksan lost control of his bike. He abandoned the vehicle and ran off into the night. Police checks led them to the owner of the bike who claimed he had lent the bike to Khun Saeksan whose home address was given by the bike owner to Police who found him, with injuries, at his home
