Hi folks, new member here!

Im travelling to Koh Tao in May with my major flight being from LHR to BKK, flying with Eva Airways. Ive asked a few people have they ever flown/heard of the airline. One or two have heard of it, but never flown. Personally i had never heard of them either until i booked my flight. Just wondered if anyone has flown with them or uses them fairly regularly?!

Also is it easy enough to get from T1 to T3 at LHR?! My internal flight gets in at T1 then i have to make my way to T3. Got a good bit of time between connecting flights so its not an issue of time, just general wondering if its easy enough.....Ive only ever flown from Gatwick for long hauls!

And lastly....if i am flying BMI for my internal/domestic flight, does that mean i cant check my bags straight through, because its 2 different airlines?

Thanks, any help welcomed!

Oh the Blue Bells are Blue!!🎶🎶🎶

Regularly flown EVA over the last 6 years and them to be pretty good. Better than Thai in my view

Personally, I doubt you can check your bags straight through.

Google Heathrow and you will find this:-

Getting around Heathrow

Fast, convenient transfers are available between Heathrow Airport's four terminals.

Terminals 1 and 3 are a short walk from each other. Terminals 4 and 5 are served by free trains and buses.

Are you a connecting passenger?

If your ticket was purchased as a flight connection and any baggage is checked through to your final destination, you will normally use dedicated transfer buses within the passenger-only zone. In that case please follow the advice given in our Flight Connections pages.

Between Terminals 1 and 3

Heathrow Terminals 1 and 3 are close together at the centre of the airport and linked by a pedestrian underpass with moving walkways. Just follow the signs for your terminal. Walking time is approximately 11 minutes.

Best of the four airlines that fly non-stop BKK/LHR/BKK vv. All female cabin crew.

Flown many times with Eva. Plenty of snacks down the back.

Eva air is part of the evergreen group (containerline) ( taiwan) and is one of the biggest but mainly a aircargo company about 70% and 30% comercial flights its service is one of the better asian airlines. so be rest asure you will have a nice flight with them.

My wife who is a thai native us to work as a crew member untill we got married and now she works as ground staff for evergreen in europe.

and yes we still fly cheap :D

BMI unfortunately has no codeshare agreement with Eva so you will need to re -check your baggage.

Eva is a decent airline...plenty of food and not too stingy with the drinks.

In flight entertainment is just OK. Bring a book or Ipad or whatever...

BMI does interline with EVA.

OK. You should be able to check in for the later flight at the BMI desk. Does this guarantee they will check through the luggage as well tw25rw?

Eva is a very good Airline,I first flew with them, 11 years ago,and I am doing that round trip,in May,£ 533,non stop, enough leg room, good cabin staff, and food, and in flight entertainment. Far exceeding Thai Air in my opinion,

Another option for the OP to consider, if he has an onward flight to Samui, is checking in the bags with EVA straight through to Samui. This will also save time in Bangkok.

I think so. It's normally part of the interlining service..

I flew from Seattle - Taipei - Bangkok and then return in 2010. Then one way Seattle - Taipei - Bangkok in 2011. Booked both times directly from the EVA website. They were always the cheapest flights from Seattle to Bangkok. I have had no problems with them. It was cattle-class but had a decent selection of movies and TV shows and the food was not that bad.

Since they are based in Taiwan, most of the passengers were Chinese. One funny thing is when they attempt to board the aircraft by rows. Staff would announce "Rows 30 through 40 will now board" and every single Chinese person in the place got up and and crowded into a rough line. Leaving about 25 of us round-eyes sitting there staring at each other. I thought of how much fun I would have as staff telling them all to sit back down and that "We will do this again and keep doing it until you get it right!" Of course, I would be fired the next day.

EVA has codeshare with Bangkok Airways and does interline baggage transfer with Thai Airways, no problem.

I'm a Gold Card holder which means that I have flown alot on EVA. I bitch, I moan, but I have to recognize that they are better than some of their competitors on the route. The only problem EVA has now is that its on time performance is deteriorating something awful. In the past month 6 flights and everyone late with 3 very late.
