I am about to apply for a WP and I am gathering the required documents. The company is registered in an office building but they use this office just for meeting some customers, the staff works in a different office located in another building. Should the map and photos of the office be of the office used for the company registration or of the office where the work is actually done?

Hope somebody can help me with this one.

Where the work is actually done, or better said where you will be working according to the work permit.

You are not allowed to work on location B if your work permit specifies you work on location A,

Thanks again Mario, you are very kind and helpful. Now I worry again because I believe that office is not registered with/payed by the company who is going to employ me, I need to talk with them again. Why everything has to be so difficult? :'(

Does anyone know about how difficult is to register an address with a company and if it's possible 2 companies share the same office (ie. same address being registered by both)? This is becoming to be frustrating :'''(

EDIT: BTW, Should the office be registered officially with the company or it is just ok if we use the map/photos of this office even if it's not legally registered with the company?

Well, I just received an email from a person in the company saying something similar to: Don't worry, you don't need to be here if they check, the reception will tell them you are meeting the customer. We will go to the office to take a picture to show them where you are working.

How Thai people can be always so happy and worry about nothing? So they want to take a picture of me in the office, good idea to let the officer processing the WP application to think I am already working there... AFAIK those are pictures from the workplace, I understand the photos where I should appear are the extension ones, is that right?

Anyone has some advice on how to reply in this kind of situation where they are pushing you to broke the law? What to say to show you stay firm but still polite? I guess it's very easy to be calm when you are not the one subject to 1 month of jail... :-(

Better you submit an organisation chart for the other people already working in your company with pictures of them at their work places - as you quite rightly point out out that legally you are not working there yet; so you cannot supply pictures of yourself at work.

Thai people often think: "Why is the foreigner thinking so much." We tend to think of possible consequences, but Thai will take care of a possible problem if it occurs.

If your employer just puts both addresses in the WP-application there is no problem.

The organization chart should show both locations and their function.

This sounds like the right way to go. However I am not sure if they will be accepting that office (the actual workplace) not being legally tied to the company, but I guess they just want to know where is the work going to be performed.

Thanks so much to everyone who bother to answer, very kind of you. Apart from whiners, TV is full of people very helpful, thanks again :-)

It's not that unusual actually in Phuket for example I and most colleagues I know keep the business registration address at my attorney not at the place of business. This is so important correspondence w government is always seen to even if I am away. I don't think you should worry about it.

Thanks for replying :-) Let me get this straight: In your case, when you submitted the WP application you specified your registered office (attorney one) and also the place of business as well. Did I get it right?

Yes, your Work Permit can hold both the company's registered office and your other place(s) of work - some evidenciary paper work may be required vis a vis your place(s) of work.
