thanks for the link. do they have an outlet? how is it? how long does a charge last? he can sit in it and drive it about? I looked at the site and, the descriptions are in Thai. :-(

My son is only 8 months so I use the remote to drive him around, it has seat belt.

It has functional steering, gas pedal, forward, reverse, lights, blinkers,horn and you can hook up a mp3 player.

1,5 hours driving, 8 hours charge.

They delivered over night to Koh Samui.

my wife has bought 2 for the grandson presumably at the local tescos...now his cousin about a year younger uses them but they get bored very quickly as they prefer the attention from the adults...

The Lotus Tecso near me (Phetchabun) does not carry anything like that. I like the ones in the website PoorSucker sent me. But, I would like to see one before I buy it.

I think all kids that age get bored quickly. The only things I have bought him that he did not get bored with in a week was his bicycle. We took the training wheels off a few months ago.

I got him a razor scooter and he uses it sometimes but, not for hours on end like he did the first couple weeks.

I come from a generation when kids toys were very well built. It seems that most of the toys I get him break in one day. Cheap plastic stuff that just falls apart.

yeah...I just bought the grandson his first bike and he loves it (he's about 3 now)...it still has the training wheels but you can see the concentration on his little face when trying to balance, steer and pedal at the same time...with the little niece they go out riding together often (we're lucky as we live on a quiet side street...)

with very small children they have to be supervised when in a little car and lose interest quickly...

touching the ground. I finally took them off and attached a kick stand. That was just a couple months before his 4th birthday.

we live in a quiet street in a small town. But, the occasional pick up truck goes flying by very fast. But, we also have a long paved driveway too.

Monkeypants--I am not sure where Toffees bar is. I live about 50 kilos from Phetchabun.

Khun Keith, I am also in Phetchabun; If you go to the Tseco-Lotus there when you go into the store and go all to the Bangkok Bank you will see a shop next to the ATM machine it they have electric scooters and electric 3 wheelers and I think they have electric and gas powered 4 wheelers.

No need to go all the way to Bangkok.

If you know where topland is, if you come out of topland and turn left, you exit in front of the Izuzu garage,( the KFC used to be on the left) turn right at the lights at the corner of the old KFC

At the next set of lights aprox 50 metres turn left, and as you have turned left they are displayed outside the shop on the right, about 10 metres.

keith...what you suggest regarding the adjustment of the training wheels sounds excellent to assist with the bike...I went out and looked but the training wheel attachment is a heavy channel arrangement that can't be bent without a torch/heating arrangement...curses...but the bike is built like a tank with inflatable tires and cable brakes and will be good for the next little boy 'Bubba' when the time comes...thanks for the advice...

(then the 9 y.o. niece will recycle her bike to the little grandson and will then be on a motorbike and irresistible with long flowing hair and then tutsi will shout: 'come back! please remain 9 y.o. forever!...')
