masuk
G'day. I'm totally new here in this lovely city. I've got a non-Immigrant O visa, and looking at converting this to long-stay, but haven't made the move yet.. 1) Does this mean I have to depart Thailand after 90 days for a new entry, or can Chiang Mai Immigration do a new 90 days? 2) As I'm heading overseas for a few weeks just 3 weeks after the current 90 days falls due, will Immigration do an extension of a few weeks, and thus issuing a new 90 days on return? englishinsiam
Depends on your Visa. If your stay I'd based on marriage you can get a 90 day stamp at immigration. If not then you will need to cross any border and you will be given another 90 days. Doesn't matter if you don't use those 90 days you always get a90 day stamp if your visa is multi entry. trainman34014
If you have a Non Imm 'O' which is not a marriage extension you have to leave the country every 90 days. Nearest place to do that is Maesai and through the Burmese Border by catching a Green Bus from Chiang Mai Bus Station. You can do it in a day without any hassle.
