Planning to go to the UK soon to get a new non-B from Hull.

Has anyone heard anything from the norm that they still can be issued with no problems?

Also, if Hull is not achievable, anywhere nearby where i can get one with a letter from my school?

Hull and Birmingham both answer the phone and are happy to talk about requirements. They have both been very helpful for me in the past. My first visa to Thailand (60 day tourist) was issued in ten minutes whilst I sat in reception.

Yes, the non-B visa is still available from Hull. For details, please click on the following links on this web page on the consulate's website:

Thanks for the replies.

I was actually asking about the multiple entry non B visa.

A little birdie had told me multiples are becoming more harder to get now.

Plus where in SE Asia is best to get one if i dont go to UK?

From what you have not said it appears that you do not qualify for a non-B visa and therefore you will not be able to get it anywhere in southeast Asia. If you have a work permit or the receipt for a work permit application (WP3), say which one you have and people can tell you where it is best to apply for the non-B visa.

Hull will no longer issue a Multi Non B on the basis of a letter from a UK company saying you are visiting Thailand on business, they also require a letter from the Thai company you will be visiting.

Yes, that's what the Thai consulate in Hull has in the requirements:

  1. Conducting business in Thailand as an employee of a non Thai company (ie a business based outside Thailand)

Evidence required
:

a) Supporting Letter from the company which you are employed by or which you are representing
and
an Invitation Letter from Thai company.

Please note that either a single or multiple entry visa can be granted in these circumstances.

thanks for responses thus far......but......

............the situation is......I live and work in thailand...i did have a wp before re-entry failed and got canx.....on a TR visa now....wishing to get a non-B again to start the whole process again (dependent on TCT!!).....

Would like to visit uk again to get the non-B.....i have got one before MULTI entry....from hull.....just asking if anyone has heard any problems in issuing multies, or more selective now.

I have the letter from my thai employer which is sufficient for the consulate according to their regs.

If i dont visit the uk, where is the best city in SEA to get a non-B with my letter from my thai school???

Cheers

Yes, on arrival in Thailand you will get permission to stay for 90 days.

Please note that you can apply for a work permit when you are in Thailand on any type of permission to stay. It is to pick up the work permit once it is ready that you will need the non-B, using the receipt for the work permit application (WP3) and documents from the company for the visa application. It is unlikely that you would get the visa from a Thai consulate in the region just with a letter from the company inviting you for a business visit.
