Hi All,

I entered thailand on the 7th of April 2012 with a Non Imm O visa based on marriage to a Thai national. This visa was valid till the 6th of July 2012.

I lost my passport today and would request you'll to let me know if I will get this Non Imm O visa stamped again on my new passport when it is issued. I have photocopies of the lost passport and my port of entry into Thailand was Bangkok.

Any advise would be highly appreciated.

Best Regards,

Loki

First of all report it as lost at your nearest police station where they'll issue you with a copy of the report - keep it safe.

Secondly, report it lost at the British Embassy in Bangkok.

Then apply for a new passport and when you receive it go to the Immigration Office in Bangkok with the police report and photocopy of your old passport and visa to apply for the replacement non-immigrant O visa.

You appear to have had a single entry non immigrant O visa which was used on entry into Thailand so it is not an issue (a multi entry would be lost as immigration can not replace or transfer a visa). Ask Embassy what to do as generally immigration does not want to be involved with visa entry/new passports and let that be taken care of on exit from country. But as you will not have old passport to show expect they will want you to visit with police report/old copy and entries/new departure card may be prepared to make exit easier.

Hi,

its good idea to scan (future) passport front page and visa page, store on your email address, at least then you can print them off if further probs. AA
