I've never known it to be as cold in Pattaya as it is right now. Time for the long johns and woollies!

Seriously though, I know it usually drops a few degrees around Christmas, and the Thais all complain, but I've never known farangs to complain about the cold before. Does anyone remember it being colder than this, and what temperature is it now?

I don't know about Pattaya but here on Koh Phangan it is currently a very brisk 21 degrees! Brr! That combined with nearly 100% humidity and a nice brisk breeze makes it feel quite chilly.

Actually, I've just checked on Yahoo weather. Says it's currently 23 Celsius with a low tonight of 17. Feels a lot colder than that!

I can not remember it as cold as this in seven years. I looked out a pair of socks this afternoon to keep my feet warm, first time they had socks on them for 5 years, really strange feeling.

CNN weather site says low of 13 degrees. My thermometer is showing 16 degrees right now, brrrrr.

Definitely cold!

Especially around Lake Mabprachan. Already very chilly at around 6pm, but when driving into town you can feel it get warmer a bit.

I can recall a very cold winter, guess it's about 7 or 8 years ago, Christmas period as well.

Had Christmas dinner in an open restaurant wearing a leather pilot's jacket :o

Feels like it's going to be the same again...

I remember the outside platform of Nang Nual on Walking street being blown completely clean!

Lots of fishermen died, when they stayed on their boats that night!

My heart bleeds for you lucky sob's. I just went through aweek of -5 fareinheit , i don't know what that is in celcius But when you step outside and your nose freezes together then you really got something to whine about. If I am lucky I get to spend @ 30 days a year in LOS. I would gladly trade places with anyone of you guys. 53 degrees F , h*ll I would not even have on a t-shirt in that heat.

BTW , brandy works good in cold weather :o

I cannot understand this weather.

A few years back the temp dropped to 9C and it was cold.

Today in Phrae it is dropping to only 15C but it feels VERY cold.

I haven't felt this cold before.

My next door neighbor friend just arrived from Sweden, he was walking around without a shirt saying how warm it is in Pattaya!

Problem is when you live in the tropics your blood thins down and you feel the cold much more when it comes. Of course getting older does not help much either.
