Body of newborn found in garbage truck in North Pattaya

PATTAYA:--A newborn child was found dumped in a refuse container at the side of the road in North Pattaya on Monday.

Police Colonel Somnook, the Chief of Banglamung Police was called to Soi Naklua 12 to inspect the body of the male child who is thought to have been born less than one hour prior to the discovery of the body.

The Placenta was still attached to the body and initial inspections suggested it may be either of mixed or foreign origin. There were no visible signs of trauma and witnesses did mention seeing a Black pick-up and it driver throw something out of the window into the bin. Refuse collectors soon arrived and spotted the body as the bin was emptied onto the back of the refuse truck. Police are appealing for the mother of the child to come forward
