Roadside bomb kills 6 Syrian security personnel 2012-04-19 08:53:26 GMT+7 (ICT) AL-MASTOUMEH, SYRIA (BNO NEWS) -- At least six government security personnel were killed as a result of a bomb attack in northwestern Syria on Wednesday, state-run media reported, although the report could not be independently verified.The attack reportedly occurred when the roadside improvised explosive device (IED) detonated in the town of al-Mastoumeh, located in the province of Idleb. The state-run Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported that the device had been detonated by an 'armed terrorist group', although no further details were immediately available.The victims of the attack were identified as First Lieutenant Tammam Hassoun and Privates Anas Idris Juani, Hassan Ahmad Arnous, and Faraj Mustafa Ismael.In a separate incident on Wednesday, policeman Youssef Qasqas was shot dead by a sniper while he was in front of the Customs' old building in the city of Daraa, in the province which holds the same name. Also on Wednesday, an armed group opened fire on a number of law enforcers in the city of Douma, killing Lieutenant Colonel Wael Hassan and injuring a chief warrant officer. tvn.png
