<snip>

This isn't related to the naked lady being flashed up on screen. That incident still has no explanation. This was just a guy who got his picture snapped looking at a pic on his cellphone during parliament

With all due respect;

1. It was a man using his phone in the House when is was not supposed to and,

2. It was an MP with a solemn duty of upholding Thailand's laws, which include a ban on degrading pornographic images.

The fellow screwed up big time.

The image wasn't pornographic and was in no way illegal. It was just a cleavage shot of a woman in a sexy dress, they show it in other articles about the incident

Oh thats allright then - though it is refreshing in one way, it proves that at least one of the democrat party MPs is human. edited: shows some signs of humanity..............

Where is Bucholz and his entourage to the lead the screams of shock? The man was inappropriately using his cell phone and admits to it because he was caught. When the PM's image was shown of her looking at her phone, Bucholz and his entourage demanded action. Well, where is that gang now? Why so silent.

Am I to take it that they agree with this Democrat party MP and his taste for pornographic pictures? I am not surprised.

So you defend the PM using her phone during a funeral service, but have a problem with an MP using a phone during a debate in parliament?

Well, I think that is the point of the post. Both inappropriate actions but one gets pages of vitriolic abuse, the other silence.

What is he doing on the phone inside the parliament chamber anyway?

Same as the PM at a funeral. Checking SMS

BNo authority on Iphones, but I would have thought that if someone sends you a picture, it will not display it under something that says "353 of 8234" or what ever that number is. Looks to me as if that is part of his collection on his phone.

And you place a session of parliament in the same category as a royal funeral?

You have no idea of Thai respect do you?

Maybe GK is some kind of religious nut who has no idea of what pornographic is.

Be what he may it is still not exactly cool to be using your phone for personal use during a session of parliament.

That is probably why Yingluck misses a lot of them. She believes it is only OK to use them in royal funeral processions.

And clearly, neither do any of Thailand's politicians.

Did he miss the main show while looking at the picture on his camera?

Obviously the reporter missed it. Not a word or picture about it from him,

Did he set Nutt up and send the picture himself?

Perhaps it escaped your attention, but the Yingluck using phone at funeral thread also got pages of justification and excuses.

From my point of view, the actions of both Yingluck and Nutt were disrespectful and deserve condemnation.

They both deserve warning, not condemnation.

Officials Releasing Porn Picture During House Meeting to be Punished

BANGKOK: -- The secretary general of the House of Representatives affirmed that officials who released a pornographic picture on a giant projection screen during the parliamentary session will be punished since it disgraced the image of the Parliament.

House of Representatives Secretary General Pitoon Pumhiran talked about an investigation regarding the appearance of a pornographic picture popping up on a giant plasma screen during the House meeting on Wednesday.

He said that he has ordered House of Representatives Deputy Secretary-General Kampee Disthakorn to investigate the facts and results are expected to be drawn by today.

However, he personally believes that the error was caused by the staff, and that the wrongdoers must be punished, as this issue has seriously tainted the Parliament's image.

However, if the wrongdoers cannot be found, all responsible units will be punished.

Meanwhile, Kampee disclosed about the investigation, saying that technical results will be drawn by this upcoming Monday of April 23, and a meeting will be held on that day's afternoon to conclude the matter.

He believes the problem was either caused by a technical or human error.

If the wrongdoers were found guilty then they will be dislodged out of the Parliament.

As of now, three officers were found to be involved in the incident.

Disagree. Yingluck deserves condemnation for not acting respectfully. How would she like it if she was dead and the people who came to pay their respects were all absorbed in updating their facebook pages? If i was dead and i saw people doing that at my funeral, i'd tell them to piss off back home and that i would go about the process of moving onto my next life by myself... obviously i would have to put them in their places via a clairvoyant...

Jokes aside, yes condemnation for her.

As for Nutt, he is being paid very well by all us tax payers, so fine, if he wants to titillate himself, do so on one of the many occasions when he skips off early for a game of golf, or when he is having an expensive meal on his expenses account with mates, don't do it when you are sitting in parliament pretending to work. Condemnation for him too.

Anyway, quite how you manage to warn people, with no element of condemnation present in the warning, i really don't know.

Imagine when the porn was not flashed by a Democrat but by a coalition MP. The sect of Chamlong would already be out on the street protesting against un-Buddhist behavior in parliament. I bet that the democrat MP was about to be exposed and therefore came out himself. The blame it on the hackers nonsense could not hold anymore. It is a shame the little fagot is now pointing his finger to a journalist. Grow up become a man not a porn watching Kathoey and tell the world that it was you not a wrongly tagged picture. If it was a tag, it means you did not do your homework and did not review your presentation. This is an example of a man who would never have made it past the concierge's office if his papa was not an MP also. If corruption did not exist in Thailand these people would not stand a chance. The MP could however refer to another shining example the former Democrat chairman Sanan, who was accused of rapiong a journalist. maybe the picture was destined for Sanan than?.

No doubt he will offer his phone for forensic analysis in order to prove his innocence rolleyes.gif .

Good job he's not a PT MP: This thread would probably have been half-a-dozen pages long by now laugh.png .

Dem MP - i page - final post "Storm in a teacup"

PTP MP 256 pages - final post a meandering, disjointed ramble including the words hitler, mugabe, tablet purchase, clone, dictatorship, mass murderer, he can come home anytime he likes, 500 baht, eternal friend and wacky races, biggrin.png

You get used to double standards here, it took me a while to adjust but I'm used to it now. Actually I find it rather entertaining the level of indignation that some members can generate.

Her Excellency was not the only one reading an sms. If you had watched you would have seen who else.

After this pathetic attempt at excuse making and obfuscation, we can rest assured that Thailand will never, ever become the hub of plausible deniability.

It's good to see the local politicians are keeping up to date in the trends of one of the largest industries in their country.

Weren't Thai MPs to be issued with good-quality laptops, for 'official' business such as this, a few months back ? Guess some of the new-generation prefer old-technology ! smile.png

I'm inclined to think you are probably right, although don't know enough about the achievements or lack thereof, of the individual concerned, to make that call with certainty.

It's an interesting observation anyway, when coming from the Yingluck rose to CEO and PM on her own merits brigade.
