I have a love for Thai food, and have just had a wonderful meal one of the best in a long while

Restaurant has Thai name no English, English translation on Menu

Meal

Tom Yum Pla (fish)

Dish of chilies for Thai taste

Chicken and Cashew nut

Fried vegetables

Two large servings of Boiled rice

Large bottle water with bucket of Ice

Cost 350bht for two people

Positives

Large portions we could not finish all of it

Loads of fish in Tom Yum

Never seen so many Cashew nuts in chicken dish and they are expensive now

Fried veg was not over cooked still crisp

Place full of Thais always a good sign if your after good Thai food

Negatives

Strange Katoy waitress not very friendly

location

Slightly of the beaten track, but only 200m from soi 17 (Land and house) south Pattaya

From Jomtien or Sukhomvit

If you turn into Soi 8 or 10 from Theprasit Road pass Caddy shack Pub on your right, then bear left on bend just before Red Lion Pub

From 3rd RoadTurn into soi 17 continue until Red Lion Pub is on your left then turn right on bend 20 metres past Pub

Continue up soi restaurant on right hand side 200m from turning.

Looks pretty typical to me. Stuff chucked in. bah.giflaugh.png

Looks Typical I guess, but sure does not taste that way, hence the post. I think anyone who appreciates Thai Food will be more than happy

Suppose a glass of cheap sparkling wine looks the same in a glass as the finest Bollinger, its all about the taste

Im Arroy restaurant, next door to Tequila Sunrise bar on Soi Chaiyapruk- is another family run place with excellent Thai food. About the same price for what the OP ordered, and they also serve fish, about 6 different ways @ 250- 350 baht/fish- delicious and really nice people!
