PATTAYA:--A routine inspection of items intended for a prisoner incarcerated at Pattaya Police Station led to the discovery of class 1 drugs over the weekend.

Police Senior Sergeant Major Tinagorn was on-duty when a young man came to the counter and asked if a bag containing food items could be given to a man known as Mr. Bart who had been charged with drug offences and was being held pending a Monday morning Court appearance.

The bag was inspected by the Police Officer who failed to notice the man who brought in the food quickly left the station as soon as the search began. Inside the bag, concealed between two pieces of bread was a packet of Crystal Methamphetamine.
