Blast at Pakistani train station kills 3, injures dozens 2012-04-26 06:30:17 GMT+7 (ICT) LAHORE, PAKISTAN (BNO NEWS) -- Three people were killed on Tuesday evening when a bomb exploded at a train station in Pakistan, officials said on Wednesday. Dozens more were injured, some of them seriously.The explosion happened at around 6:40 p.m. local time when an explosive device detonated near the reservation office of the Pakistan Business Train at the No. 2 Platform of the Lahore Railway Station in the province of Punjab. The powerful blast killed three people and injured around 45 others, the Pakistan Daily Times reported, adding that the explosive device also left a 10-foot-wide crater at the scene.The victims were transported to the Mayo Hospital, Services Hospital and Ganga Ram Hospital in Lahore. The three bodies were taken to the Mayo Hospital, where 25 injured were also taken. Several of the injured were women and children, and some of them were reported in a serious condition.According to officials from Pakistan's Bomb Disposal Squad, between 8 to 10 kilograms of explosives were used in the bomb, which was placed in a black bag. The fatal victims were identified as Railway Police constable chief Muhammad Idress, a railway loader named Muhammad Bota, but the identity of the third could not be confirmed.It was not immediately known who was responsible for the attack. tvn.png
