Update: Anyone Of You Work In Iraq?

Recommended Posts

Not sure if this is the proper etiquette on an update.

But for all those who gave me input- Thank you!

I took the job.

Great pay, great schedule.

Will be moving to Bangkok sometime in July after my first 28 day rotation, looking for an apartment.

I'm leaving for Dubai this Monday for processing. Very excited.

Thanks again.

and avoid the red light district in Badr City!

heh, Sadr City smile.png

Chances are he's in the Kurdish region anyway. Give me a IM I'm here now doing allot of construction work for similar organizations.

Sadr City red light district is boring. only some old Shia goats doing a bit of pole dancing wearing some sort of burqa wink.png i do mean a small compound half way between Baghdad and Osiraq which we called Bad'r City (emphasis on bad) during my time. but then "my time" was many rainy seasons ago (1981) and i'm afraid the "city" does not exist anymore.

I'm working Kurdistan regularly and will give any tips I can via PM.

Baghdad? Take care, as in much more so than LOS. Are you small-arms trained/familiar? wai.gif

Dont they give you a crash course on that during the processing?
