Pattaya International Music Festival Hits Town This Weekend

PATTAYA:--The 2012 Pattaya International Music Festival, considered to be one of the largest beach music festivals in Asia, will take place from Friday, April 27 to Sunday, April 29.

Five stages have been erected for this year’s event: The Reggae stage will be in South Pattaya (next to Walking Street entrance); outside Royal Garden Plaza is the Techno stage, while Central Festival Pattaya Beach will host the GMM Z stage with many of the headline acts. The open ground in Central Pattaya (next to Hard Rock Hotel) will be used for the Variety stage and Soi 4 Beach Road will feature the Pop, Easy bands.

A plethora of Thailand’s top music stars including Klear, Potato, Buddha Bless and Paradox will be accompanied by international music acts from around Asia to create another standout event for all Pattaya music lovers.

Pattaya International Music Festival begins

PATTAYA:--Three days of fun and live music has begun along Pattaya Beach Road with the start of the much anticipated Pattaya International Music Festival.

Organized by GMM-Grammy, one of Thailand’s leading record labels and supported by Pattaya City Hall, the Chonburi Provincial Administration and the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Friday Night saw the grand opening presided over by Khun Sontaya, formers Sports and Tourism Minister and Khun Itipon, the Mayor of Pattaya who were joined on-stage by some of Thailand’s top Thai superstars who will be performing during the three day event.

Sound stages have been erected along Pattaya Beach with the main stage situated at the Bali Hai Port at the southern-end of the Beach past Walking Street. I was there last night to watch Klear with a friend. Well organized, good security, It must have cost the city a small fortune just for the stage area and entertainers next to Hard Rock. there must have been 20,000 plus at this one area. Well done Pattaya City.
