What's The Best Way To Deal With Pissheads?

At my lunch with my friend in a restaurant, the sun was out.

everyone was enjoying their meals, chatting and so were we...

We really loved that quiet meal and the sunny day until...

these 2 blokes walked in and sat next to our table...

We noticed that they were pissed off their faces and

we didnt want anything to do with them... not at all...

One of them started looking at me n then started saying

"heyup mush, u alright?"...

at the first place, I didnt hear him clearly

so I went "Pardon?"

and he went "I said how are you..." angrily...

but still I replied, "I'm good, thank you... You alright?" politely...

A few seconds after that, he turned to me and said the same thing again...

I wasnt sure about what he said since he just asked me that question

plus Im not a native speaker and his accent was quite hard to understand...(guessed he was from northern england)...

(welll no offense but i find their accents are quite hard to catch n

they speak too fast...)

So I went "Pardon..."

and he snapped "I asked you how you are, bitch...

I dont wanna talk to you if you dont wanna talk to me so ###### u!!!"

OMG... I'd never been shouted at by any stranger like that before in my life...

His friend could just sign that he had too much to drink...

At that time, I thought I just had to ignore this sort of w---ka...

:o But I never want to be shouted at by any pisshead again...

What could be the best way to get them back if Im too unlucky

to meet thie kind of w---ka again...

Ladies and gentlemen... any good suggestion...???

fight with drunky is worse than you fight with a dog or two ..

if i had to meet and be beaten by pisshead, i'd stay quiet and leave him alone

useless to fight back..

Seems to be a no win situation. If you ignore him he just gets more beligerant and if you try to talk to him more of the same. I was going to say ask him if you could buy him a drink and hope he passes out. :o I would just excuse myself (and friend) and leave. Anything else seems to me the situation could rapidly escalate. I've been in similar situations and just left being polite doing it.

make sense

well

1 i will leave from this place

2 i ask for boild water as hot coffee or tea.. pour that b@stard and run away bride :o (im kidding)

I was going to say ask him if you could buy him a drink and hope he passes out.

good idea.. maybe order super strong booze (+ dog pee) ehh :D .. i might drink with him say ..salute' salute'..while i drink water and pretend as vodka /tequila

(but i'd prepare myself ..he can throw up anytime

Yeah, ask him if he's ever tried 'lao cow' and introduce it to him betting him he can't drink a liter. :o

Wow...

I love the idea of y'all together... Offer him a drink, n bet he cant do "low cow" or dog pee a litre... I'll give it a go...

I've actually dealt with a pisshead at home by ignoring him n waited til he slept then started to abuse him then pretended to know nothing when he woke up in the morning asking how he bled the night before...

unfortunately, i cant do that to any stranger, not in any restaurant...

so i guess yours are the best suggestion then...

cheers...

show some backbone. ignore the bloke. don't buy him drinks. and if you are at a restaurant or bar, tell the management that you are dissatisfied with the environment because you are being harrassed by someone. in some finer establishments, you might be excused from paying the bill. if the management refuses to take action, tell them you will never return, and that you will pass the story of your bad experience to your friends, and then your friends will pass the story to theirs, and so on.

any respectable business (owner) does not want to tarnish good business relationships because of one or two unruly customers.

Well in a perfect world this is what one would do, but there are risks in doing so. The pisshead decides he will try to beat the shi*e out of you or wreck said establishment. BTW you can't argue with a drunk - might as well talk to a bloody wall. Remember he is a customer too, and as long as he isnt harming everyone - most Thai(s) will ignore it rather than confront.

Personally I'd tell the lad to fk off, and then prepare for a scrap, but not lot of people are like this, so better to make an exit or be his new best mate until you are ready to leave.

tell him where to get off and grow up

how many people on this forum have told pissheads to f+ck off, and they do

my old man always told me thier is nothing easier than confronting a pissed up idiot with no co-ordination and how true his words have proved to be

Rohypnol is a man's best friend - in these circumstances at least......or was it rat poison, i forget....

I've had this once in Burbon Street resturant - some old, bald, golded up fella coming the large - these people give us honest hard working fallangs a bad name :o

I get the feeling the OP is a female.... :o

Just ignore him....if he becomes more belligerent, ask the staff to call the police very loudly....it sounds like his mate was less drunk and he would probably get his mate out of there.

I also got the impression that the OP is a woman, but I could be wrong.

My advice... never get in a fight when you can get someone else to do the fighting for you. Like I said earlier... get restaurant mgmt involved, or as someone else said, call the police.

If you must fight, never do it in a public venue. Do it discreetly and execute extreme prejudice so that the incident will not come back to haunt you. :o

Not surprisng that they come from Northern England!!

My appologies on their behalf

Some people seem much better at dealing and placating drunks than others.

Got a mate that ran a pretty rough town centre pub,so he was always asking people to leave, behave, not welcome etc. Some of them real dodgy bastards that you would go out of your way to avoid.

Watched him many times talk his way out of really dodgy situations.

Thought of running a pub a few times but I knew I wouldnt be able to handle problems like he did.

Buying them hard stuff works as well as confronting them with statements like "blue is greener than red". In any case, avoid them if ever possible.

ooh professor you're so violent! i always pretend i want them but i'm shy. pardon myself to go to the bathroom and never return.

But you're a woman.

Remember a drunk is just that.

Drunk. Uncordinated, often off balance and far from at the height of their capabilities.

No matter what they may think about themselves, they are easy to dispose of.

First rule of bouncing!

I agree with the professor, it's no use pussyfooting around these louts. The moment a drunk person so much as looks in your direction you should launch a pre-emptive attack, a firm elbow flush in the face followed by a swift kick to the throat.

It's the only way to deal with these hooligans.

My wife and I got it in the departure lounge of Heathrow ASirport. A drunk sat near us and said so the whole lounge could hear. ' What's a beautiful girl like you doing with a fat ugly bastard like that?' Then kept on " Come on lovely, tell us"

Needless to say he was escorted from the lounge after my wife complained. Don't know when he finally got to Thailand.

Bloody cheek anyway! Calling my wife beautiful. :o

Sorry to all you "bouncer" types.

My tale was about a bloke that was managing a pub where "Crew on the door"was not an expense his employer deemed appropriate. :o

He just seemed to have a non threating way of dealing with them that got results.

Although I agree a baseball bat and a head through a closed door would in some cases would be a great idea.

It is not a good way to keep your liberty in the UK.

Its not the reason your in LOS is it.... :D

I agree; I have not had one serious episode in the FC in the three years I've had it. Everybody knows if they start trouble

1) They will never be allowed in again.

2) They have my wife to deal with.

Not sure which one frightens 'em most.
