I am coming to Bangkok in a month.

I need to get a gps reciever for my ipaq - and I want one to connect to the serial port (the port you connect the electricity to).

The problem is that the serial connection on the 1950 is different than all the other ipaq's.

Is it possible to get such a device in bangkok and where.

is there an online shop in english???? (that will be the best)

How much will it cost ?

There is also an option of buying a SDIO gps including memory by globalsat sd-502. Can it be baought in BKK and for how much ?

You can get GPS units for PDA in Fortune IT Mall (down the end of Ratchada, there are a few PDA specialists in there), and probably in Pantip Plaza as well. I could be wrong, but I thought most of them connect to the PDA via a flash card slot or by bluetooth - haven't ever looked at one closely.

Thanks for the reply, but I think I did not make myself clear enough.

This is a very specific question. I am well familiar with the Pantip Plaza and the Fortune.

I have also conducted a very thorough rsearch on the internet.

The problem is that my Ipaq model is different than most other ipaqs in terms of its serial connection.

The question is - are there gps recievers that fit my model (ipaq 1950) specificaly in BKK and how much are they ?

It is not at all trivial that you could find them in BKK or that they will be cheap.

I am attaching two links for recievers that might fit so you know what I am talking about (one is serial and one is SIDO). As you can see the first one is on ebay from an unknown manufacturer, and the second one which is the best is quite expensive.
