webfact
Jatuporn says he ready for Cabinet seat The Nation BANGKOK: -- Pheu Thai MP Jatuporn Promphan Wednesday hinted he was ready for a ministerial appointment although Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra kept mum on her plans to reshuffle the Cabinet. "PM Yingluck has a direct mandate on the Cabinet line-up and my future is still the matter of speculation," he said, reacting to his potential candidacy for the position of deputy interior minister. Jatuporn said his immediate concerns were his life-long devotion to serve the red-shirt movement and his MP status. He said he did not know if he would have his House seat following the May 18 verdict on his qualifications. He said he would serve in any capacity deemed necessary by the prime minister. -- The Nation 2012-05-
webfact
Pheu Thai Chief Welcomes Red-shirt Leader as New Minister BANGKOK: - The leader of the governing Pheu Thai Party expresses support on giving a ministerial post to another red-shirt core leader, insisting it will not land the government in trouble. Pheu Thai leader Yongyuth Wichaidit said his group's party-list MP Jatuporn Prompan, also a red-shirt core leader, is qualified to the post of deputy interior minister given he adequately understands problems of the people. Yongyuth, who also holds two ministerial seats of deputy prime minister and interior minister, stated he believed bringing Jatuporn into the Cabinet will not face opposition from any parties, but noted there is still no sign of a Cabinet reshuffle at the moment. Meanwhile, Jatuporn said appointing him a minister rests with the decision of the people in power and reiterated he remains firm on his stand to work in civil politics. However , Jatuporn remarked he is ready to work in the Cabinet for the sake of all groups of people, if he is given the opportunity. Another red-shirt core leader Nattawut Saikau, also deputy agriculture and cooperatives minister, said the decision whether to appoint Jatuporn a minister rests with the prime minister. Nattawut advised his red-shirt group to avoid making its gesture over the issue. In the meantime, Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra would not comment whether Jatuporn will be appointed deputy interior minister. -- Tan Network 2012-05-

Popular Post OzMick
"Pheu Thai leader Yongyuth Wichaidit said ........ Jatuporn.......... adequately understands problems of the people." Well he should. He helped cause a lot of them. Do Cabinet Ministers have parliamentary immunity? Is this an insurance policy for the may 18 decision which could see Jatuporn facing terrorism charges?

Another nail in his mother's coffin... http://www.thailando...?DataID=1013675 Good of you to bring this up, some 300 yellow shirt followers of Prem went to a little old ladies house, in the middle of nowwhere, to pressure her about her son. That's pretty heavy intimidation, is it not ?? A 90 year old assailed by 300 people in her house. You seem to be approving of it, the way you post. Speaking of Red Shirt fail, anyone see the pathetic gathering in Chaing Mai yesterday? LOL They set up their stage at the gate and I think maybe 25 red shirts were there (max) when we drove by, and at least 25% of them were kids. It was honestly pathetic.
