Have You Made An Online Appointment With Immigration?

I thought I was mighty lucky when (last week) I booked the last slot for an appointment on Monday 7th, ten appointments having already been made for that day.

This morning we realised that Monday was a public holiday so we rang Immigration to check, and yes they will be closed. They claimed that a sign should have flashed on the screen - or similar device - to say that the office would be closed that day. There wasn't anything like that, so presumably there are ten foreigners out there who are due to get a surprise when they front up to Immigration on Monday.

PS: When I created this thread's title I inserted a second line mentioning the date. Don't the second line in thread titles work anymore? I seem to reacll this happening to me with another thread I created a few days ago.
